22-Year-Old Injured in Berlin Scooter-Toyota Crash
A 22-year-old was seriously injured in a traffic incident in Berlin-Wilmersdorf yesterday afternoon. The victim was riding an electric scooter when they were struck by a 76-year-old woman driving a Toyota at an intersection. The accident occurred when the scooter rider entered the road from the left at a red light, within the pedestrian crossing area. The Toyota driver, meanwhile, allegedly proceeded through the intersection on a green light, intending to go straight. The 22-year-old was taken to the hospital with head injuries following the collision. This incident is separate from a previous Wednesday accident involving a bicycle rider and a 76-year-old male driver. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The 22-year-old's condition remains unknown. This serves as a reminder for all road users to adhere to traffic rules and exercise caution, especially at intersections.
