4D Tech Unveils FANUC-Certified Plugin for Advanced Surface Inspection in High-Precision Manufacturing
4D Technology, led by General Manager Mayson Brooks, has announced a significant advancement in surface inspection for high-precision manufacturing. The company has developed a new FANUC-certified plugin, enabling seamless integration between its 4Di InSpec Optical Surface Gauge and FANUC's CRX series of cobots.
The plugin, certified by FANUC, confirms compatibility between the 4Di InSpec sensor, software plugin, and FANUC's CRX line of collaborative robots. Key features include patented vibration-immune technology, allowing for 3D non-contact inspection with remarkable resolution down to 2 μm. This enables automated inspection of intricate details such as edge breaks, chamfers, radii, and surface defects.
The new plugin offers plug-and-play compatibility with 4D InSpec and 4D InSpec XL gauges, as well as all FANUC CRX cobots. This simplifies automation of surface inspection workflows in high-precision manufacturing environments. The certification also marks 4D Technology's recognition as a FANUC collaborative robot device supplier.
