5D Truth Traveler attraction debuts in Pigeon Forge today, mirroring its success at Ark Encounter
Truth Traveler VR Ride Opens in Pigeon Forge, Blending Technology and Biblical Narratives
The Truth Traveler VR ride, a joint venture between Answers in Genesis (AiG) and Mindscape Creative, has officially opened its doors in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Located at 2680 Parkway, across from The Island and a huge Ferris wheel, the new venue offers a unique blend of cutting-edge technology and captivating biblical narratives.
This immersive VR experience takes guests on a virtual reality journey through biblical history, from creation to the resurrection, the Tower of Babel, and Noah's Ark. The ride features sector-leading motion technology by Simworx, including motion benches and sensory effects, providing a full immersion into the biblical stories.
The ride's narrative is guided by P.O.D., a "spunky, food-obsessed robot" co-pilot, who offers an inspiring story about God's redemptive plan. The pre-show sets the scene and introduces characters, followed by a tailor-made elevator simulator descending to the VR flight deck.
The venue also houses the Stargazer Planetarium, connected by an arch, offering a full sensory exploration of the cosmos. Here, guests can explore the universe guided by Rae and P.O.D., highlighting the scale and artistry of the universe.
Ticket prices for the Truth Traveler VR ride start at $25.50 for adults, with combo tickets including the planetarium starting at $35. Amenities include a gift shop with exclusive products and themed snacks from Timeless Treats.
The Truth Traveler VR ride in Pigeon Forge is part of the Ark Encounter's expansion, following the success of the life-size Noah's Ark attraction in Northern Kentucky, which is among the region's top tourist attractions.
Meanwhile, in Branson, Missouri, Truth Traveler is being built in the former Andy Williams Moon River Theater. The venue will also feature a lively pre-show and a 1200-seat theater for a tailored show. Logos On-Tour will stage Lion the Witch, and The Wardrobe at the Branson Truth Traveler venue, opening in August 2025.
Ken Ham, founder of AiG and its attractions, will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Pigeon Forge. The Truth Traveler 5D virtual reality experience is expected to be well received by guests, providing unique, fun experiences for all.
