Allianz, Ergo, and R+V Dominate Insurance Ad Landscape

Insurance giants Allianz, Ergo, and R+V dominate consumer perceptions, accounting for a quarter of all ad impressions. A study by Murmuras reveals the top ten providers capture over half of these impressions across six major social media platforms.

Allianz leads the pack with an impressive 757 different ads, followed by R+V with 398 and Ergo with 340. This data, gathered from a panel of over 3,000 consumers over 12 months, shows these three providers significantly influence car insurance advertising.

Pet insurance tops the category chart with a 16 percent share, followed by dental supplementary insurance at 12 percent and health insurance at 8 percent. On average, a smartphone user encounters an insurance ad every twelve days.

Facebook reigns supreme with 45 percent of ad impressions, trailed by Instagram at 28 percent and TikTok at 16 percent.

The car insurance industry's advertising landscape is dominated by a few major players, with Allianz, Ergo, and R+V leading the way. Pet insurance leads in terms of category share, and Facebook remains the top platform for car insurance ad impressions.
