Amazon Restocks Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition on Its Platform
New Kindle Colorsoft 16 GB Now Available on Amazon
Amazon has added the new Kindle Colorsoft 16 GB to its online store. This latest addition to the Colorsoft family joins the recently released Kindle Colorsoft Kids Edition, offering a standalone version and various bundle deals.
The new Kindle Colorsoft boasts a 7" Color display, a significant departure from the Kindle Paperwhite's black and white optimized screen. The high-contrast display is easy on the eyes and brings covers and content to life in vibrant colour. One of the most notable improvements over the original Colorsoft Signature Edition is the elimination of the banding issue found on the older model's screen.
Michael Kozlowski, a renowned author who has written about audiobooks, e-books, and e-readers for the past eighteen years, resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Despite the recent release of the new Colorsoft models, Kozlowski has not written extensively about them. It is unclear whether this is due to Amazon potentially no longer advertising the Colorsoft Signature Edition.
The Colorsoft Signature Edition (2024) remains absent from Amazon's official Kindle Comparison chart, despite being available for purchase. This strategic move by Amazon is likely aimed at preventing consumer confusion and focusing attention on the improved 2025 Colorsoft models. The Comparison chart, which highlights currently promoted Kindle models, omits the 2024 Signature Edition.
Interestingly, a second generation Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition has been reviewed by some sources and is currently available in a few countries. However, it remains to be seen whether Amazon will fully replace the 2024 model with this second-generation edition.
Highlighting on the new Kindle Colorsoft 16 GB can be done in yellow, orange, blue, and pink, offering a personal touch to the reading experience. The device is available for purchase on Amazon, though it may be challenging for consumers to find due to Amazon's deliberate efforts to limit its visibility.
