Amazon Unveils New Echo Devices, Kindle Scribe, and Alexa+
Amazon has unveiled a range of new devices, including compact, powerful news speakers, enhanced security cameras, and innovative e-readers. The new Echo Studio, Echo Show 8 and 11, Echo Dot Max, and Kindle Scribe devices are set to hit the market soon.
The Echo Studio, now more compact and spherical, delivers more powerful sound with 3D audio in Dolby Atmos format. Two new Echo models with displays, the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11, are priced at 199.99 and 239.99 euros respectively. The Echo Dot Max, the cheapest new news at 109.99 euros, is also spherical but smaller than the Echo Studio.
Ring security cameras and smart doorbells are getting a boost with 4K resolution variants for better detail recognition, even in poor lighting. Amazon's Kindle Scribe devices are being developed to feel more like writing on paper, with a new display coating and pen tip simulation. The Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio will be available from October 29, 2025, and the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 from November 12. All new Echo devices are ready for use with Amazon's Alexa+ assistant software, planned for release in Germany after the UK. Up to five new Echo Studio or Dot Max news can be connected to a home cinema system with a subwoofer, using the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select (54.99 euros). Alexa+ integrates advanced AI to proactively assist users, recognizing people at the door, reminding tasks, and providing camera footage summaries. Two Kindle Scribe models are available: the Kindle Scribe (around 520 euros) and the Kindle Scribe Color for 649.99 euros.
Amazon's refresh of its Echo speaker lineup includes powerful, compact news and enhanced security cameras. The new Kindle Scribe devices offer a more natural writing experience. With Alexa+ and the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select, users can expect improved smart home integration and content discovery.
