Amplified Longevity: JBL's Boombox 4 Boastsenhanced Volume and Extended Playtime

The tech world is abuzz with excitement as JBL, a renowned name in audio technology, has unveiled its latest Bluetooth speaker - the Boombox 4. This follow-up to the popular Boombox series promises improved features and performance, making it a must-have for music enthusiasts.

One of the standout improvements in the Boombox 4 is the USB-C connection, which enables lossless audio playback. This upgrade ensures a superior sound quality experience for users.

The Boombox 4 is currently available in China for approximately $560, but its global release, including in the UK, US, EU, and Australia, is imminent, although not yet officially confirmed. Based on the pricing of its predecessor, the Boombox 3, which launched in 2022 at around £449 in the UK, $499 in the US, €549 in the EU, and approximately AU$933 in Australia, it is expected that the Boombox 4 will be priced similarly once it launches in these markets.

The Boombox 4 boasts bigger drivers but no subwoofer. It is also 12% lighter than its predecessor, making it more portable. The playtime has been extended to up to 34 hours, a ten-hour improvement over the previous model.

The Boombox 4 is equipped with JBL's AI Sound Boost for audio analysis and tweaking, ensuring an optimised sound experience. It also features Bluetooth version 5.4 with Auracast, providing a seamless and high-quality connection.

The global availability of the Boombox 4 is expected within the next month or two. The full spec sheet for the Boombox 4 is available on JBL's international websites. The Boombox 4 features two 5-inch woofers, two 0.75-inch tweeters, and three passive radiators. It delivers up to 210W when connected to the mains and 180W on battery.

While no official news about the price or launch in the UK, US, EU, or Australia has been announced yet, previous rumours predict a September 2025 launch for the Boombox 4, with shipping a few weeks later.

Stay tuned for more updates on the JBL Boombox 4 as it prepares to make its global debut.
