Presto Launches AI-Powered Analytics Platform for QSR Industry

Presto, a leading voice AI company for restaurant drive-thrus, has announced the launch of a new business unit: Presto IQ. Michael Chorey, a renowned AI expert in the Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, has joined Presto as the co-founder and president of Presto IQ.

Presto IQ aspires to be the repository of dynamic data offerings for the QSR industry. The new platform aims to integrate various dynamic data sources to enable personalized, real-time operational decisions for QSRs. This move signals a significant shift in the industry, positioning Presto IQ as the first AI-native dynamic data offering focused specifically on QSRs.

Michael Chorey was instrumental in developing Wendy's AI drive-thru system, FreshAI, during his more than five years as Wendy's head of innovation and AI. FreshAI is now in about 300 Wendy's locations and the chain plans to expand it to up to 600 by the end of the year.

Presto IQ's first customer will be Presto Voice, and it aims to provide real-time data to QSR brands, franchisees, vendors, financiers, lenders, and insurers. The platform intends to use its drive-thru voice data to improve its upselling capabilities, leveraging the new layers of information made accessible by voice AI.

Krishna Gupta, Presto's co-founder and co-CEO, believes that Presto IQ can benefit all participants in the QSR industry. He sees the market for this type of product as potentially very large, a sentiment echoed by Presto.

The drive-thru is the largest sales channel in fast food, and until recently, drive-thru data was typically limited to what an employee punched into the point-of-sale. Voice AI has changed this, making drive-thru data more easily accessible and enabling a more personalized customer experience.

Michael Chorey believes that by joining Presto, he will be able to leave a bigger impact on the industry. His expertise and leadership are expected to drive the success of Presto IQ and its mission to revolutionize the QSR industry with AI-driven analytics and automation solutions.
