Auto Legends Secures $1M Coinbase Investment for Blockchain-Powered Racing

Autoverse Studios, developers of the upcoming social drag racing game Auto Legends, have secured a significant investment from Coinbase Ventures. The $1 million funding comes from their Base Ecosystem Fund, bolstering the studio's ability to deliver a blockchain-powered racing experience.

The investment follows an earlier round led by White Star Capital, with participation from Draper Dragon, Sfermion, LiquidX, Operating Group, Miller Motorcars, and Horacio Pagani, totaling $8 million. This latest funding will support the game's development and upcoming releases.

AUTO LEGENDS promises a realistic tuning and personalization experience, starting players with a starter car and challenging them in high-speed drag races. The game features officially licensed vehicles and tuning options from renowned brands like McLaren, Mitsubishi, Honda, and Mazda.

To lead the development of this immersive racing ecosystem, Autoverse Studios has appointed Scott Probin as Game Director. With over 35 years in AAA game development, Probin brings extensive experience from titles such as NHL 94-97, Need for Speed series, For Honor, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Prior to joining Autoverse, Probin worked at Playground Games.

In anticipation of the game's launch, a closed beta version of Auto Legends will be available on the Epic Games Store. A mobile release is planned later this year.

With these investments, Autoverse Studios is well-positioned to deliver a competitive and immersive racing experience in Auto Legends. The game's realistic tuning options, licensed vehicles, and experienced development team promise an exciting addition to the racing genre. Players can look forward to the closed beta on the Epic Games Store and the mobile release later this year.
