Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates Launches SG-22, First Blockchain-Authenticated Amp

Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates is launching the SG-22, a new tube amp head and cab under his Synner brand. Priced at $1,199, it comes with 20,000 Deathbat Reward points and is the first amplifier authenticated on the blockchain.

The SG-22 was developed in collaboration with Synyster Gates and Schecter, the manufacturer of his signature guitars. It features a clean, transparent, high-headroom preamp, designed by Gates and engineer Don Morris. The amp head comes with a Celestion V-Type 12 speaker in its open-back cab and uses three 12AX7A / ECC83 tubes and two 6V6GT tubes.

The SG-22 offers a three-band EQ, Presence, and Master controls, but no gain control. It's a clean amp tailored for pedalboards and rack-mount effects. Gates previously worked with Schecter for his signature Hellwin amp in 2013 before switching to the Axe FX. Now, he's back with Schecter for the SG-22. Additionally, Gates is working on a signature distortion pedal, the Original Syn, set to feature on Avenged Sevenfold's 2023 album.

The Synner SG-22 Universal Pedal Platform Amplifier is now available for $1,199, offering a clean, versatile sound and the first blockchain authentication for an amplifier. Guitarists can expect a high-quality product from this collaboration between Synyster Gates and Schecter.
