Introducing the Avalanche x Helika Gaming Accelerator
The Avalanche Foundation and Helika have teamed up to launch a groundbreaking three-month program, the Avalanche x Helika Gaming Accelerator, designed to support both Web3-native game studios and traditional developers in bringing blockchain-powered games to market.
The Aim
The primary objective of this program is to help game studios build polished, engaging blockchain games with sustainable player communities. By providing funding, technical support, mentorship, and ecosystem access, the program aims to accelerate the development of blockchain-powered games on Avalanche’s high-speed, low-cost network.
What's on Offer
The benefits for game studios participating in the program are substantial. Each participant receives an initial $25,000 grant, with the possibility of up to an additional $125,000 for projects that meet milestones and show strong progress.
Mentorship is provided by industry veterans, including game developers, blockchain experts, and leaders, through group and one-on-one sessions. Technical support is offered to integrate Avalanche’s blockchain technology, benefiting from its fast transaction finality and scalability without compromising gameplay quality.
Advanced player analytics from Helika are provided to monitor player behaviour, game performance, retention, and in-game economies in real time. Furthermore, coaching on community building, player retention, and partnerships with gaming communities for user acquisition is also part of the program.
Exposure and Opportunities
Opportunities to present games at Demo Days and major gaming/blockchain events increase visibility to investors, publishers, and the broader Avalanche ecosystem. Partnerships with gaming groups for user acquisition are also part of the program’s support.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to experienced studios working on blockchain-native or hybrid Web3 games across platforms (mobile, desktop, etc.). Top projects in the program can earn additional funding up to $125,000. The program offers in-person demo opportunities at major gaming and blockchain events.
The Application Process
Studios submit applications to join the accelerator’s cohort. Accepted teams begin with virtual onboarding, followed by three months of guided development and support. The program culminates with in-person demo days at key industry events for pitching to investors and partners.
