Bose Unveils SoundLink Home Speaker, Targeting High-End Competitors
Bose has unveiled the SoundLink Home, its first home speaker in over a decade. This design-forward speaker targets high-end competitors like Home Depot and HomeGoods, boasting a fabric grill and anodized aluminum housing. It's available in Light Silver and Cool Gray, priced at $219.
The SoundLink Home offers a playback time of 9 hours and takes 4 hours to recharge. It uses Bluetooth 5.3 and USB for connectivity, and can be paired with a second unit for stereo playback. Unlike other SoundLink models, it lacks an IP water-resistance rating and is designed for indoor use. Despite its mono sound, the speaker delivers clear audio quality. It also features a built-in microphone for phone calls.
The SoundLink Home was released in Germany in October 2023 with a manufacturer’s recommended retail price of approximately 229.95 euros. It weighs 2lbs and has dimensions of 4.33.
The Bose SoundLink Home, priced at $219, offers a blend of design and audio quality, targeting high-end competitors. With a 9-hour playback time and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, it's a solid choice for indoor use.
