Bugatti Launches Elite Project with One-Of-A-Kind Brouillard, Producing Only Two Vehicles Each Year

The French luxury automaker Bugatti has unveiled a new masterpiece, the Brouillard, a one-off hypercar that celebrates the brand's rich heritage and pays homage to its founder, Ettore Bugatti.

The Brouillard, a creation under Bugatti's Solitaire Programme, is a testament to the brand's commitment to bespoke coachbuilding and extreme exclusivity. With only one such vehicle produced annually, the Brouillard is a unique piece of automotive artistry that is sure to turn heads.

Design Inspiration

The C-shaped side elements on the Brouillard are a nod to Ettore Bugatti's signature, maintaining the brand's visual language. The exterior design follows classical art principles, with the lower third rendered in dark tones and the upper two-thirds appearing lighter and more dynamic. The fixed ducktail wing provides balance and enhances the elegant silhouette.

The Brouillard's engine is built on the same 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 platform as the Mistral roadster, making it a powerful and efficient machine. The engine is the pinnacle of Bugatti's quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16, producing 1,578 horsepower.

Aerodynamic Excellence

The aerodynamic design of the Brouillard optimizes cooling efficiency through prominent air intakes feeding through the glass roof. The rear diffuser maximizes functional surface area through innovative exhaust packaging.

Interior Luxury

The interior of the Brouillard features custom-woven fabrics from Paris, incorporating tartan patterns and green-tinted carbon fiber. Machined aluminum components and embroidered horse motifs on the seats add to the luxurious feel. The gear shifter is machined from a single aluminum block, with a glass insert containing a hand-crafted sculpture of Ettore's favored horse.

The glass roof creates a cathedral-like experience, with the center spine flowing seamlessly from exterior to interior. This unique design element adds to the Brouillard's overall aesthetic appeal.

A Tribute to Ettore Bugatti's Horses

The Brouillard is a one-off creation that celebrates Ettore's inspirational bond with his horses while showcasing the full spectrum of family artistry. The inaugural creation under Programme Solitaire, the Brouillard is named after Ettore's beloved horse.

The commissioning owner of the Brouillard is described as one of the world's leading Bugatti collectors. The Brouillard will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week before delivery to its owner in 2027.

While the price of the Brouillard is not disclosed, it is rumored to be well north of $15 million. The Brouillard, like other vehicles produced under Bugatti's Solitaire Programme, falls within the $10 to $20 million range, reflecting their ultra-exclusive, bespoke nature.

Bugatti's coachbuilding roots date back to the 1930s when Jean Bugatti brought coachbuilding in-house, resulting in creations like the Type 57 SC Atlantic. The Brouillard continues this tradition of bespoke craftsmanship and attention to detail, making it a truly unique and special vehicle.
