"Sundays aren't my enemy," Rangan, the brains behind HubSpot, shared. "I love the freedom they offer, to decide what learning, doing, thinking, and writing I'll tackle," she added, according to Fortune.

Despite her fear of idle moments, Rangan makes sure to carve out Friday nights and Saturdays for relaxation, spending quality time with her husband, a managing director at Goldman Sachs. This rejuvenating break helps her refocus and avoid burnout.

Rangan's Sundays, though workdays, don't extend the same demands to her team. She smartly schedules emails to pop up in employees' inboxes early Monday mornings, ensuring they don't interfere with their weekends.

When it comes to the workweek, Rangan is typically online by 7 a.m., wrapping up as late as 11 p.m. She's been leading the marketing software giant since before the Covid-19 pandemic, formally stepping into the role in September 2021. With a $26 million salary, she ranks amongst the highest-paid Indian-origin CEOs in the U.S.

Rangan was born and raised in South India, nurtured her tech talents at Bharathiar University, and moved to the U.S. to earn her MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, at age 21. Her roots are not forgotten, as she frequently visits India to stay connected with her heritage.
