CII National Awards 2022: Promoting Water Conservation in Industry
The 16th CII National Awards for Excellence in Water Management are set to take place in September 2022. This annual event, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), aims to promote efficient water management and conservation practices among industries.
Over 550 companies have been recognised since the awards' inception. They are evaluated under three categories: 'Within the Fence', which focuses on water management within the company's premises; 'Beyond the Fence', which considers initiatives that benefit the local community and environment; and 'Innovative Water Saving Product', which rewards innovative solutions for water conservation.
The awards aim to build a 'Water Secure World' by encouraging industries to adopt sustainable water management practices through their operations, innovations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The 16th edition is open to public and private sector companies of any scale.
The last date to submit the awards questionnaire is June 10, 2022. Benefits of applying include recognition, knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, assessment for improvement, and a feature in the CII publication. The winner of the 16th CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management will be announced in September 2022.
