New Mercedes E-Class Estate and All-Terrain Models Unveiled

The sixth generation of the Mercedes E-Class has arrived, with two new additions to the lineup: the E-Class Estate and the E-Class All-Terrain. Both models boast improvements in performance, comfort, and design.

The Mercedes E-Class Estate (2023)

The new E-Class Estate offers a more generous boot space, with a maximum volume of 1830 liters. This is an increase compared to the previous model. The estate also features star-shaped LED signatures in the rear lights, adding a touch of modern elegance.

The new E-Class Estate also benefits from the car's new electronic architecture, offering numerous new features. It comes with a standard single-chamber air suspension at the rear axle, with Airmatic, featuring air spring elements and adaptive dampers, available on all four wheels in more expensive variants. The estate also offers an optional rear-axle steering to enhance agility and stability.

The E-Class Estate has a larger body and longer wheelbase compared to its predecessor, providing more elbow and knee room for passengers on the three-piece rear bench.

The Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain (2024)

The E-Class All-Terrain is the basis for the upcoming Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain, set to hit the market in the second quarter of 2024. This model is designed to tackle light off-road terrain, equipped with robust add-ons, 4Matic all-wheel drive, and height-adjustable air suspension.

The All-Terrain model boasts impressive towing capabilities, with a brake-tow capacity of up to 2100 kg and a towing capacity of 84 kg. Engine options for the All-Terrain include the E 220 d, E 450, and E 300 de.

The All-Terrain will be available in two variants: the E 400 d 4MATIC All-Terrain, with a starting sale price of approximately €59,890 in Germany, and the E 450 4MATIC T-Modell All-Terrain Avantgarde, priced around €68,870.

Safety and Performance

The Mercedes E-Class (2023) received a "very good" rating (four out of four points) for its "Active Distance Assist Distronic" in the Euro NCAP test of its highway assistance systems. This demonstrates the car's commitment to safety and innovation.

The new E-Class models continue to push the boundaries of performance, with the E-Class Estate boasting a cd value of 0.26, a reduction from the previous model's 0.27.

In summary, the new Mercedes E-Class Estate and All-Terrain models represent another step towards perfection for the sixth generation of the E-Class. With improved performance, increased comfort, and innovative design, these models are set to impress.
