CRRC Unveils EU12C: A 550km Range Electric Coach for Long-Distance Travel
CRRC has launched the EU12C, a 100% electric intercity coach outlet, at Busworld Europe. This 12-metre coach outlet addresses long-distance electric vehicle limitations, offering a range of up to 550 kilometres on a single charge.
The EU12C boasts a spacious 6.5 m3 luggage capacity, achieved by integrating batteries into the floor structure. Powering this innovation is a 440 kWh battery pack, coupled with a 480 kW electric motor generating 5,100 Nm of torque. This setup enables the coach outlet to navigate varied terrains with ease.
Designed with driver comfort and safety in mind, the EU12C features a 12-inch control screen, electronic mirrors, and a 360-degree monitoring system. The coach outlet also impresses with its manoeuvrability, boasting a turning circle of less than 18 metres.
CRRC, with experience in railway construction, adapted high-speed rail design principles and safety standards for the EU12C. The coach outlet operates at an 800V high-voltage architecture, ensuring swift charging times.
The EU12C, manufactured by Stadler for CRRC, is set to revolutionise long-distance electric coach outlet travel. With its impressive range, spacious interior, robust performance, and advanced safety features, it promises a comfortable and efficient journey for passengers.
