Malaysian Company Invests Heavily in Modern Identity Document Manufacturing Facility
NexG Bhd, a prominent Malaysian company, is poised to make a significant investment in the production of secure identity documents. The purpose of the investment is to meet both domestic and international demand, utilizing advanced Industry 4.0-ready manufacturing capabilities.
The investment, amounting to approximately RM250 million ($15.38 million USD), will be allocated to develop a cutting-edge production plant for secure ID documents. The plant will boast fully automated systems and advanced security infrastructure, ensuring high-precision production and scalability aligned with Industry 4.0 standards.
The investment will be implemented in three phases, each phase incorporating ongoing optimizations and enhancements to increase the plant's annual production capacity exceeding 15 million secure ID documents per phase.
With the new facility, NexG anticipates generating a substantial revenue, expecting between US$100 million (RM421 million) and US$200 million (RM843 million) per phase, depending on factors such as document type, country-specific requirements, project scope, and security level.
In pursuit of international opportunities, NexG is actively exploring markets outside Malaysia to supply secure identity documents, targeting growing global demand for high-security solutions. The facility has been designed to cater to diverse market requirements, allowing NexG to tailor solutions for various regulatory environments.
