Delhi Airport Launches Digital E-Arrival Card for Faster, Greener International Arrivals

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is set to introduce a digital E-Arrival Card facility for international passengers on October 1, 2023. This follows the successful implementation of similar systems in major airports across Asia, such as Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport and Phuket Airport.

The new system enables travelers to fill out their arrival information online, eliminating the need for traditional paper-based cards upon landing. This initiative aims to streamline the arrival process, reduce queues, and support sustainability efforts by minimizing paper usage.

Travelers can complete their arrival information via official platforms such as the Bureau of Immigration's portal, the Indian Visa website and mobile app 'Su-Swagatam', and the Delhi Airport website. The launch of this facility follows the introduction of the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveler Programme (FTI-TTP) in June 2024, which has already enhanced the travel experience for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders at Delhi airport.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO-DIAL, has expressed that this initiative reflects the Government of India's commitment to delivering a world-class, hassle-free travel experience while promoting sustainable practices. The E-Arrival Card facility is expected to enhance the overall efficiency and convenience of international arrivals at Delhi airport.
