Delhi Airport's New E-Arrival Card System Boosts Efficiency and Sustainability

Delhi Airport is set to introduce a new, eco-friendly system for international passengers. The E-Arrival Card facility, launching on October 1, 2025, allows travellers to fill out their arrival information online, replacing traditional paper-based cards. This initiative follows successful implementations in several Asian countries and is expected to streamline the arrival process and reduce paper waste.

The E-Arrival Card system, already in use at airports in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia, offers a convenient alternative to manual forms. Travellers can complete the online form up to three days before their arrival, saving time and reducing queues upon landing. This not only enhances the passenger experience but also supports India's sustainability goals by minimising paper usage.

The introduction of this facility at Delhi Airport is overseen by the Directorate General of Immigration Services (DGIS). It follows the successful launch of India's first 'Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme' at the same airport in June 2024, which has already improved processing times for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders.

The E-Arrival Card system, launching at Delhi Airport in October 2025, promises a smoother arrival experience for international passengers. By reducing paperwork and streamlining processes, it aligns with India's commitment to sustainable practices and improved passenger facilitation.
