DWS Launches Europe's First ESG-Screened Sector ETFs
DWS has launched the first European ESG-screened equity sector ETFs, eliminating companies with poor MSCI ESG ratings and those involved in conventional weapons. These ten sector ETFs track the MSCI ESG-Screened Index physically and are classified as Article 8 funds under EU regulations.
The new ETFs cover a wide range of sectors, including communication services, consumer goods, energy, financials, healthcare, industrials, information technology, utilities, and materials. They combine MSCI's established ESG-screening method with additional filters to exclude companies involved in controversial weapons.
Investors have shown strong interest in ESG-focused funds this year, with inflows into ESG-Xtrackers ETFs surpassing €4.4 billion. These new sector ETFs provide a more targeted approach to sustainable investing in the European equity market.
DWS's new European ESG-screened sector ETFs offer investors a way to gain exposure to specific sectors while aligning with their sustainability values. By excluding companies with poor ESG ratings and those involved in controversial weapons, these funds contribute to a more responsible investment landscape.
