Dynamic Shift in Relationships Between Agents and Property Sellers as Toronto's Real Estate Tech Platform Debuts Nationwide in Canada

In a significant shift from traditional real estate methods, Canada's first real estate agent listing-bid platform, Hyyve, has launched in Toronto, promising a more transparent, competitive, and data-driven approach to home selling.

Patrick Armstrong, co-founder and CEO of Hyyve, believes that selling a home is a significant financial transaction, yet many Canadians lack the necessary tools and trust. Armstrong states that at Hyyve, both home sellers and agents deserve a more transparent, merit-based, and performance-driven way to connect.

The novel model of Hyyve leads to a more efficient and measurable return on investment for agents, unlike anything else on the market. Sellers can post their home listings with details, photos, and videos, and licensed, accredited agents with strong track records and positive reviews then compete by bidding for the seller’s business.

This competitive environment empowers sellers, as they receive upfront cash offers and can compare side-by-side proposals from multiple agents based on merit, performance data, value offered, and commission bids. This creates a transparent marketplace where sellers have full access to agents’ professional credentials and performance history, allowing an informed choice.

The platform is free for sellers to use, and Hyyve only earns a success fee from the winning agent’s commission, aligning its interests with both sellers and agents. Sellers can rest assured that the agents competing for their business are driven by outcomes, not upfront costs.

Hyyve offers a range of integrated services to streamline the end-to-end home-selling experience. These include Ownright for legal closings, Frank Mortgage for financing, Bidmii for renovations, Carson Dunlop for inspections, MoveMate for moving, and Square One for home insurance.

Findings from the Hyyve survey, the "2025 Home Seller Insights Survey," indicate that many Canadians are unhappy with their real estate agents and plan to sell their homes within the next two years. Hyyve aims to transform the way homeowners sell their property and connect with real estate agents, fostering a more efficient, transparent, and trustworthy home-selling process.
