The Kettwiesel One Plus, a new electric trike from Hase Bikes, is making waves in the e-bike market with its ergonomic comfort, innovative engineering, and user-friendly features. This unique trike boasts a signature layout with two wheels at the back and one at the front, offering a distinct riding experience.
Powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, the Kettwiesel One Plus delivers a robust 100 Nm of torque, amplifying the rider's effort by up to 400%. However, other models may feature different motors, such as the Specialized SL 1.1 48V 240W. The version with the Bosch motor includes a Bosch PowerPack of 545 Wh, while another variant uses a 630Wh battery with the Shimano EP8 motor.
The trike's frame, made from lightweight aluminum, can be adjusted from 162 cm to 227 cm, accommodating riders from 1.10 meters (3'7") to 2.00 meters (6'7"). Riders can choose between above-seat (One Up Plus) and under-seat (One Plus) steering options, both designed for easy mounting and dismounting.
The suspension system, using a MacPherson strut design, offers 70 mm of travel, ensuring a smooth ride. It can be adjusted to suit the rider's weight and cargo, supporting up to 140 kg (309 lbs). The Kettwiesel One Plus comes with an Enviolo Automatiq Trekking internal gear hub for smooth shifting, while gear choices also include the stepless Enviolo Automatiq hub or a 5- or 14-speed system (Nexus, Enviolo, or Rohloff).
The braking system combines a front mechanical disc brake with coupled hydraulic discs at the rear, ensuring reliable stopping power. The trike features 20-inch wheels with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, and it is equipped with mechanical disc brakes in the front and hydraulic disc brakes in the rear for improved safety.
The Kettwiesel One Plus also caters to practical needs. It includes front and rear lighting for improved visibility, and there is a rear luggage rack capable of carrying up to 30 kg. The trike can handle a total load (including rider) of up to 140 kg.
Customization options include choosing between a traditional handlebar or side handles, and the seating can be configured according to individual needs. The Kettwiesel One Plus "Plus" version comes with a 545 Wh battery and is powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor.
