Electric vehicle manufacturer Ola launches its Diamondhead model in the year 2027, while also introducing a new variant, the S1 Pro Sport, to its lineup.
The much-anticipated Diamondhead electric bike from Ola Electric is set to hit the market in 2027, according to the latest updates. This high-performance electric sports motorcycle promises to redefine the boundaries of electric mobility in India.
Priced around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Diamondhead will position itself as a premium offering in the electric motorcycle segment. With an impressive acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, it is poised to offer an unrivaled sporty performance.
Designed by Ramkripa Ananthan, Head of Design at Ola Electric, the Diamondhead boasts a unique diamond-shaped front end, sleek horizontal LED light strips, and sharp aerodynamic body panels. The use of lightweight materials such as space-grade aluminum, carbon fiber, and magnesium ensures optimal weight and performance.
The Diamondhead is equipped with hub-center steering, an exposed front mono-shock, bar-end mirrors, and adaptive suspension to improve ride quality and control. For braking, it comes with dual front disc brakes with dual rotors, a rear disc brake with ABS, and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Advanced safety and control features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), traction control, adaptive cruise control, active braking, and active ergonomics are also part of the package. These features aim to enhance rider safety and riding experience.
Powered by Ola’s Bharat Cell 4680 battery, the Diamondhead is expected to deliver greater power output, range, and overall performance by the production launch. Ola is also developing a Smart AR helmet and smart wearables designed to integrate with the bike’s systems for an enhanced connected riding experience.
At the unveiling of the Diamondhead and other products at Sankalp 2025, Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CMD of Ola Electric, emphasized the importance of India building and owning its technologies rather than relying on external sources. The Gen 4 platform, upon which the Diamondhead is based, will be the foundation for all of Ola Electric’s upcoming products.
