Enhanced corporate messaging through integration: D-ID welcomes our platform to their ranks
In a significant move, D-ID and the Berlin-based company simpleshow officially merged on September 16, 2025, operating under the name D-ID from now on. This merger aims to revolutionize corporate communication by combining explainer videos and interactive avatars.
The change process is being introduced in an explainer-video style for internal communication, making it easier for employees to understand the transition. Post-merger, an avatar spokesperson will field employee questions, turning messages into a dialogue for internal communication.
The merged company's mission is to make communication projects more efficient, interactive, and engaging for companies worldwide. The platform, previously known as our platform video maker, has been merged with D-ID and will now operate solely under the D-ID name.
Despite the changes, the platform will continue to deliver the same quality and user-friendliness it has been known for. A service avatar will guide users through the process, respond to questions, and link to additional videos in customer service and support. The team of familiar contacts and support staff will still be available.
Custom brand avatars will be available, allowing companies to create digital representatives that reflect their brand image and messaging. New interactive avatars will personalize content, answer questions, and simplify processes. Advanced AI features, including lip-syncing in multiple languages and automatic scaling of video campaigns for global target groups, will be integrated.
The merger will enable the rollout of content internationally with minimal effort due to these advanced AI features. The merged company will offer new possibilities for e-learning, customer service, and digital events through the integration of interactive avatars.
A compliance video is introduced to teach the basics, while an avatar trainer follows up with questions, quizzes, or role plays for e-learning and training. A product video showcases the benefits, and a live avatar expert answers audience questions, adapting messaging to different target groups in sales and marketing.
The merger is expected to be finalized in Q4 2025, with customers gaining early access to new product offerings before then. The merged company will operate under the D-ID brand, but our platform customers will continue to enjoy the platform they know, now enhanced with access to powerful new avatar features.
Real-time interactions through AI avatars will allow for instant responses to employee questions or customer assistance. The merged company will continue to focus on delivering high-quality, user-friendly solutions for corporate communication, making it an exciting time for both companies and their customers.
