Expands LG's lineup of earbuds, finetuned by will.i.am, catering to both casual music enthusiasts and discerning audio aficionados.
LG has announced the addition of two new models to its Xboom line of wireless earbuds: the Xboom Buds Lite and the Xboom Buds Plus. Both models have been developed in collaboration with musician will.i.am and feature an ergonomic design with ear hooks for added stability.
The Xboom Buds Lite is designed to be lighter and more amenable compared to the Xboom Buds Plus. While the price for the Xboom Buds Plus has not been disclosed, the Xboom Buds Lite will retail for £60.
Both new earbud models have been tuned by will.i.am to deliver high-quality audio experiences to casual listeners and discerning audiophiles. The Xboom Buds Lite offers access to four equaliser settings via LG's companion app for tweaking sound to specific tastes.
The Xboom Buds Plus employs lightweight graphene drivers for clear, detailed audio with minimal distortion. It also offers intelligent active noise cancelling which detects and reduces background noise. The Xboom Buds Lite offers up to 11.5 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 35 hours in total when the case is in use. The Xboom Buds Plus promises up to 10 hours of playback from the buds and a total of 30 hours with the charging case.
Both new pairs support Bluetooth Multipoint for connecting to multiple devices simultaneously and Google Fast Pair for one-tap pairing to Android sources. They also come with multiple ear tip sizes.
Lee Jeong-seo, head of LG's audio division, stated that the Xboom Buds Plus and Buds Lite aim to make high-quality audio experiences available to more people. The new earbuds will be available in September.
