Experience the premiere of the latest innovation in electric vehicles, the BMW iX3, live on September 5.
Get ready for an electric revolution as BMW prepares to debut the iX3 on September 5. This significant event marks the beginning of a new era for the automaker, with the iX3 set to lead the charge in sustainable mobility.
The world debut of the iX3 will take place at 11 AM CEST, and you can catch all the action live on YouTube. During the livestream, we'll get a first look at the iX3's design and technology, which have been shrouded in mystery until now.
One of the most intriguing features of the iX3 is the Panoramic Vision. This system includes three fixed tiles in the driver's line of sight and six customizable widgets. You'll be able to drag and drop these widgets from the main screen to Panoramic Vision, making it easier to access the information you need while on the road.
The iX3 will also boast a large central screen, measuring a impressive 17.9 inches. This screen is expected to be a key component of the new infotainment system, supported by Panoramic Vision.
While details about the optional display for the front passenger have not been confirmed for all models, it is suggested that the iX3 will feature this option. Additionally, an optional 3D head-up display above Panoramic Vision has been developed for the iX3.
The second-generation iX3 is significant, signaling a new design direction for all BMW models. The new interior layout, introduced by iDrive X, features a completely different look, with the rotary dial and driver's display eliminated.
Interestingly, gas and electric models from BMW will look nearly identical, according to Head of BMW Group Design Adrian van Hooydonk. This means that the iX3 will fit seamlessly into BMW's lineup, offering the same sleek and stylish design we've come to expect from the brand.
As for the future of BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk remains the leader, with Domagoj Dukec continuing as the head of BMW-Marken-Design. Dukec is known for his interpretation of controversial design languages, such as the large, prominent kidney grilles on newer BMW models like the new 4er, iX, i4, and i7.
Van Hooydonk, on the other hand, remains responsible for BMW Group Design as a whole, overseeing the design of all BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce models.
In conclusion, the iX3's world debut on September 5 promises to be an exciting event, offering insights into the design and in-car technology of the vehicle, as well as providing a platform to learn about the Gen6 electric motors and round-cell battery pack. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big day!
