FinXP Appoints Antoine Scerri as New CTO to Drive Fintech Growth
FinXP, a leading European fintech, has appointed Antoine Scerri as its new Chief Technology Officer. Scerri, who previously served as Head of IT at FinXP, brings three decades of experience in Information Technology and a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence to his new role.
In his new position, Scerri is committed to enhancing FinXP's solutions and delivering unparalleled service to clients. FinXP offers a range of services including Dedicated IBAN Accounts, Cross Border Payments, Card-Issuing, Omnichannel Payment Processing, SEPA Direct Debit Collection, and Clearing services. The company is licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority as an electronic money institution.
Scerri's appointment comes as FinXP has launched FinXP PLUS, an internally developed platform for cross-border payments leveraging Mastercard's network. The platform is set to further boost FinXP's capabilities in international news.
Carmelo Romano, the former CTO, has transitioned to a consultative role within the company. Romano, who has been instrumental in developing FinXP's robust IT infrastructure and establishing a scalable international IT department, will end his consultancy role on October 31, 2025.
