FN Introduces FN 503: A Robust, Compact Pistol for Everyday Carry

Belgian firearms manufacturer Fabrique Nationale (FN) has introduced the FN 503, a compact, striker-fired pistol designed for everyday carry. The FN 503 boasts a robust design and features that make it an appealing choice for concealed carry.

The FN 503 is approximately 1 inch thick, with a relatively blocky slide featuring a beveled muzzle for easier holstering. It has a polymer frame with a visible serial number through a slot, making it easy to identify. The pistol is equipped with fixed sights that can be adjusted for windage, but not for vertical impact without replacing the front sight.

The 503 holds six rounds of 9 mm ammunition in a standard magazine, with an option for an eight-round magazine. It has a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide, ensuring users are aware of the firearm's status. The trigger is clean and crisp, with a trigger safety but no external thumb safety. The pistol also features a robust extractor and a large ejection port for reliable extraction and ejection, aided by cocking serrations machined into the rear of the slide.

The FN 503, developed by FN, offers a reliable and robust option for everyday carry. With its compact size, six-round capacity, and user-friendly features, it caters to those seeking a dependable, concealable pistol for self-defense.
