Say goodbye to LalaFood, as the food delivery service announced its departure from the Philippines beginning February 15, 2021. Bid adieu to LalaFood's app and platform, but not to Lalamove, as they're still up and running for their core delivery business.
In a hefty Facebook post on Monday, the 8th of February, LalaFood spilled the beans on why they're kissing the food delivery market goodbye: to focus on their main gig, delivery services! So buckle up, folks, as we steer towards more growth and investments in the Philippines this year to keep the customers happy and create opportunities for rider-partners and employees!
Although they've learned a boatload about the food delivery industry, they're swapping chunks of shrimp fried rice for trucks full of packages to dominate the logistics scene. Chalk it up as a tasty lesson learned!
