Christmas is approaching in Fortnite. Although the festive event hasn't started yet, the game's map is already blanketed in snow and ice. A massive blue ice block with an amusing secret hidden inside has mysteriously appeared in the map's center.
For quite some time now, Fortnite has celebrated the holiday season of Christmas with a significant event known as Winterfest. Each year, Christmas trees emerge across the map, and the Winterfest Lodge is filled with gifts. The presents concealed within these gifts house various cosmetic items, all of which can be unwrapped freely every day during the event. However, this tradition was abandoned during the previous Winterfest, with daily login rewards taking its place. This change was met with opposition, and Epic Games has taken note. Therefore, presents are making a comeback for the 2024 event. (Those who thought removing presents was a good move clearly don't grasp the mentality of the Fortnite community.)
This year's Winterfest is anticipated to bring back snowballs and include ice-skating, which sounds quite enjoyable. Here are the crucial details regarding the Winterfest 2024 event:
When does Winterfest 2024 start?
Although Epic Games has not revealed the specific launch time for Winterfest, they have provided the start and end dates. The event will commence on Friday, December 20th and conclude on Tuesday, January 7th. This equates to a total of 19 days, implying no less than 19 presents to unwrap throughout the festivities. It's rumored that the event will commence at 6am PT on Friday morning/9am ET.
What will be inside the presents this year?
Sprays, music tracks, and other cosmetic items will await inside the presents this year, but the most enticing free gifts include two skins: a festive Christmas Snoop Dogg skin and a Yulejacket skin. It appears a Christmas Tree Guff skin will also be available, possibly as another complimentary Winterfest skin, although it could end up in the Shop instead.
New Item Shop Skins
A selection of additional skins and cosmetics are expected in the Item Shop during the Winterfest event, including some prior Winterfest offerings. Among these are Santa Shaq's skin and the Mariah Carey skin, both of which are highly regarded.
What can We Anticipate?
