Funds Acquired: $7.3 Million for AI-driven Auditing System
Vaudit, an AI-powered real-time audit engine for digital ad spend, has secured $7.3 million in a seed funding round led by Mucker Capital. The platform aims to bring unprecedented financial discipline and transparency to digital advertising, where waste and fraud have historically been normalised.
The funding will be used to enhance Vaudit's AI models for better anomaly detection and expand its coverage to include more digital advertising channels, such as TikTok, Amazon, and X (formerly Twitter), as well as mobile in-app advertising traffic.
Vaudit's core function is to detect billing anomalies, overcharges, and reconcile ad spend with actual vendor billing across platforms like Google and Meta. The platform automates this process, generating structured audit reports that help clients flag irregularities, dispute charges, and recover wasted spend.
Piotr Korzeniowski, the new Chief Operating Officer, believes that Vaudit is defining a new category, "audit intelligence," by bringing financial accountability to media buying and providing visibility into ad spending. Omar Hamoui, Partner at Mucker Capital, agrees, stating that Vaudit is building a category-defining tool that will bring much-needed accountability to the digital advertising industry.
Notable investors in the round include Omar Hamoui, founder of AdMob, and Binh Tran, co-founder of Klout. Binh Tran, General Partner at AVV, underscores that Vaudit is defining a new category by delivering the missing trust layer for today's opaque digital ad ecosystem.
Since its late-2023 launch (formerly known as BlokID), Vaudit audits over $150 million in annualized digital ad spend and serves more than 1,000 customers globally, including large enterprises like HP, Panasonic, and Volkswagen. Some clients have experienced monthly overcharges of up to 30%.
Michael Hahn, Founder and CEO of Vaudit, stated that the company aims to pioneer a new standard in digital advertising accountability. The company plans to enhance its AI with agentic workflows that could autonomously take remedial actions such as pausing spend or initiating refunds without human intervention.
The round was also backed by AppWorks, Plug and Play, and Kyber Knight. Piotr Korzeniowski, who brings experience scaling other adtech companies, will focus on product development and scaling operations. The funding will enable Vaudit to expand its team and accelerate its growth.
In summary, Vaudit is an institutional-grade ad spend audit platform that is addressing a major blind spot in digital advertising—billing accuracy and media dollar accountability—by providing AI-powered audit capabilities previously reserved for elite enterprise users. The company's mission is to bring clarity and financial discipline to the digital advertising space, making it more transparent and accountable.
