Gathering for the Discussion of Morality in Emerging Technology Innovations
In a unique collaboration between Ouest France and our website, the first Convention of Ethics and Future Technologies, known as E-thique, is set to take place in France. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, 6th July 2021, will take place both in person at the Théâtre de Laval, Mayenne, and online on our website World. This convention precedes the international exhibition on virtual and augmented reality, taking place from the 7th to 9th July.
E-thique aims to foster debate and reflection on the ethical implications of future technologies. The Théâtre de Laval will host a series of conferences, debates, and roundtables, with the event simultaneously broadcast on our website World.
The theme for the inaugural edition is "Is controlling time a good idea?" The topic will delve into artificial intelligence, time travel, and technological acceleration, among other subjects. Confirmed speakers for the event include Cédric Villani, a renowned mathematician and politician, Etienne Klein, a quantum physics specialist, Eric Salobir, an ethics advisor at the Vatican, and Owen Simonin, CEO of Just Mining and a blockchain & crypto entrepreneur, among others.
