Geotab Expands Global Reach with Acquisition of Verizon Connect's Telematics Business

Canadian telematics specialist Geotab has acquired Verizon Connect's operational telematics business in multiple countries. Matthew Kassel, Senior Vice-President, Strategic Acquisitions and Integration, will lead the integration. Over 400 employees from Verizon Connect in Australia and Europe will join Geotab, marking a pivotal moment for the company and the connected vehicle industry, as stated by Neil Cawse, Founder, President, and CEO of Geotab.

The acquisition will expand Geotab's reach and scope of tailored solutions for fleet companies. It will offer leading telematics technology, AI and data insights, and local support to customers in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany. This move strengthens Geotab's global presence and market position, particularly in small to medium-sized fleets. Through integration, Geotab aims to deliver added value and comprehensive data-driven insights to its customers.
