Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 Now Open: Free AI-focused Program Offers Mentorship, Cloud Credits
Google has launched applications for the 9th edition of its Google for Startups Accelerator Program, Africa. The initiative, open from April 10 to May 9 2025, is completely free and does not require startups to give up any equity.
The program, tailored for AI-focused startups in Africa from Seed to Series A stage, combines virtual and in-person sessions. It aims to address real-world challenges and will include 10 to 15 startups.
Participants will be matched with Google industry experts for mentorship. The three-month hybrid program, starting in June 2025, will feature in-depth sessions and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development.
Successful startups will gain access to up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits and other benefits. While details about the 10th edition in 2026 are not yet available, Google typically announces eligibility criteria and participating companies closer to the time.
