Graphic card RTX 5060 stock sightings emerge on Best Buy, potential placeholder status due to only one listed at suggested retail price

The RTX 5060 from Nvidia is all set to drop on May 19, and here comes some hot damn news! Rumor has it that the latest budget card is already showing up in some listings, but hold onto your horses, 'cause MSRP cards are as scarce as hens' teeth in this category of RTX 50 cards since the launch of Blackwell.

X user @momomo_us spotted three separate Asus listings go live for the card at Best Buy, and @harukaze5719 found a fourth from PNY, the only one currently listed at its MSRP. But wait, there's a catch: all those Asus listings have been taken down, except for the PNY card that's still up – and out of stock – as we speak. This could mean the listings were just placed early and will be pulled back later, or maybe they're just placeholders for the real deal. Only time will tell!

Here are the cards that went live in the most recent listing:

  • Asus TUF RTX 5060 OC: $410
  • Asus Prime RTX 5060 OC: $380
  • Asus Prime RTX 5060: $340
  • PNY RTX 5060 Dual Fan: $300

All these cards come with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, but the overclocked ones will offer snappier speeds than the standard variety. It's worth note that factory overclocked cards often come with more power-efficient fans, but we don't have all the deets on the two 5060 OC cards yet.

The standard Asus Prime RTX 5060 is priced at $40 more than MSRP, with the Prime OC setting you back $80 extra. And get this – the MSRP of the 8 GB 5060 Ti is $380, but you'd be lucky to find it at that price!

If you're willing to take an open-box 16 GB RTX 5060 Ti from Best Buy, you can snatch it up for $416 right now. That's not a bad deal considering it's a step up from the RTX 5060 and still cheaper than the jacked-up Asus prices we've seen so far.

During the RTX 5070 launch, some cards had sold-out MSRP listings prior to the big day, but they shot up significantly right before launch, and many of them were sold at a premium. So, while the PNY RTX 5060 card coming in at MSRP now is promising, it's not a guarantee you'll score it at that price on launch day.

All that glitters may not be gold, but let's wait and see what the market brings on the day the RTX 5060 drops!

  2. During the RTX 5060 launch, gadget enthusiasts might find themselves in a game of cards, as prices could potentially bet higher than the MSRP due to the high demand.
  3. For those looking for a powerful gaming setup, the new RTX 5060 cards come with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, but the overclocked versions offer even faster speeds.
  4. If you win the race against fellow tech fans and manage to secure an RTX 5060 at its MSRP, it could be a great addition to your season of victories in the realm of gaming and technology.
