Guppy Aims for 300 Vehicles by 2023, Adds Tesla Model 3 to Fleet
Guppy, a Spanish car-sharing company, has ambitious plans for growth and sustainability. It describes its vehicles as agile, comfortable, cost-effective, and sustainable. By the end of 2023, Guppy aims to have around 300 cars in its fleet.
Guppy currently operates 260 units across Asturias, Cantabria, Madrid, Bilbao, Valladolid, and Santiago de Compostela. It has recently added 40 Tesla Model 3 units to its fleet, offering an interurban range of 400 kilometers and a rapid charging speed of over 200 kW. Guppy is the first in Spain to allow vehicle recharging at public charging points through a mobile application, thanks to a partnership with TotalEnergies.
Guppy's short and medium-term goal is to become a leading player in the car-sharing sector. It aims to demonstrate the usefulness of shared car usage, especially in Low Emission Zones. The company has integrated its own application to expand its service to over 35,000 customers. However, no direct connection could be found between Guppy and the 'Moves Singulares II-Initiative'.
Guppy is expanding its fleet and services, aiming to be a significant player in the car-sharing sector. Its focus on sustainability and innovative charging solutions is set to benefit both customers and the environment. The company's alignment with Mobility Portal Group for future business models and year-end goals is expected to further enhance its position.
