Hallertau's 'Digital Experience' Boosts Tourism with EU-Backed Audio Tours
A new initiative, 'Die digitale Hallertau-Erlebnis', is set to enhance the Hallertau region's appeal. This digital project, backed by the European Union's LEADER programme, aims to create four audio tours accessible via smartphones. It's a collaborative effort involving four local action groups and has received €30,432 in funding.
The project, led by Carolin Meinhold of Hopfenland Hallertau Tourism e.V., will offer two city tours in Wolnzach and Mainburg, and two bike tours in the Rudelzhausen to Freising route and the ILE Holledauer Tor area. These tours will delve into the region's culture, tradition, history, and hop farming, enriching the experience for both locals and visitors.
The initiative involves four local action groups: Landkreis Kelheim, Landkreis Landshut, Mittlere Isarregion, and Landkreis Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm. It's expected to attract new target groups and make the Hallertau region more well-known. The project received approval and funding from the European LEADER programme, with Agnes Stiglmaier acting as the LEADER coordinator and Tina Schuler as the lead LAG manager.
The 'Digital Hallertau Experience' project is underway, aiming to create engaging audio tours that showcase the region's unique heritage. With support from local action groups and European funding, this initiative promises to boost tourism and engagement in the Hallertau area.
