Hyundai Motor Group Reports 12% US Sales Boost in September 2025

Hyundai Motor Group has reported a significant boost in US sales, with a 12% year-on-year increase to 143,367 units in September 2025. The group's Kia and Hyundai brands, along with its luxury arm Genesis, all contributed to this growth.

Kia's Sportage SUV led the charge, maintaining its position as the top-selling model with a 13% increase in year-to-date sales to 134,102 units. Kia's overall US sales rose by 11% to 65,507 units in September, and its year-to-date total climbed by 9% to 636,148 units.

Hyundai's US sales, excluding Genesis models, grew by 14% to 71,003 units in September. The Tucson model remained Hyundai's best-seller, with year-to-date deliveries up 13% to 165,239 units. The group's sales of electrified vehicles surged in September, reaching a monthly record of 17,269 units.

Collectively, Hyundai and Kia achieved an 8.6% share of the US electric vehicle market by September 2025. Hyundai reported a 14% increase in sales compared to the previous year, although specific sales figures per brand were not detailed. Hyundai Motor and its Genesis brand reported a combined 12.8% rise in US deliveries to 77,860 units in September.

Hyundai Motor Group's strong performance in the US market, driven by increased sales of both conventional and electrified vehicles, positions the group well for the remainder of the year. The popularity of models like the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson, along with the growing demand for electric vehicles, bodes well for the group's future prospects in the US.
