Hyundai, Toyota Top 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey; Nissan Juke Worst
The 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey has revealed some interesting findings about the reliability of various car brands and models in the UK. While some cars and brands have shown impressive performance, others have left owners facing significant repair costs and lengthy wait times.
Hyundai and Toyota have reason to celebrate, with the current i10, Santa Fe, and Toyota GR Yaris earning perfect scores for reliability. In stark contrast, the Nissan Juke has been crowned the least reliable car in the UK, with a staggering 24% of petrol owners reporting a fault.
MG has once again taken the bottom spot, improving slightly from last year's 76.9% to 88.9%. Suzuki is the second least reliable brand, while Lexus and Kia are tied for eighth place. Honda, Mini, and Suzuki lead the reliability rankings.
Petrol Juke owners have faced substantial costs, with three in five paying more than £1500 for remedial work. Moreover, 64% had to wait over a week for repairs. The previous-generation Kia Sportage also had a high number of issues, with 51% of owners reporting problems, including 20% related to the powertrain. Volkswagen Tiguan owners, however, had repairs covered by the manufacturer.
Nissan's Qashqai, X-Trail, and Leaf performed well, scoring 95% or higher in reliability.
