Nordhorn Embraces AI Quick-Check Tool for Local Businesses
The city of Nordhorn has taken a significant step forward in promoting digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by adopting the AI Quick-Check analysis tool from Mittelstand-Digital Center Lingen, Münster, and Osnabrück.
This new municipal service, now available in Nordhorn, is designed to provide local businesses with concrete impulses for getting started with AI. The AI Quick-Check is intended for companies seeking initial impulses for AI usage or looking to expand or strategically scale existing AI applications.
Mayor Thomas Berling hailed the AI Quick-Check as a low-threshold, practical offer that takes another step towards future-oriented economic promotion. The tool will be available for registration during the upcoming action days, which can take place at the city hall of Nordhorn or in the company upon request.
The action days offer appointments at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. After the conversation, participants receive a compact result report with a practical assessment and information on free follow-up support offers.
The goal is to create a solid foundation for the introduction, expansion, or strategic further development of AI applications in the company. Michael Schnaider, who represents Mittelstand-Digital Center, expressed hope that other cities and municipalities in the region will follow Nordhorn's example and integrate the AI Quick-Check into their support offers.
Nordhorn is the first municipality in the region to permanently institutionalize the AI Quick-Check offer. Other cities and municipalities that have integrated the AI Quick-Check offer of the Mittelstand-Digital Centers Lingen, Münster, and Osnabrück include Rheine, Steinfurt, and Emsdetten.
