Introducing Continuum FCP 2022, Now on Sale!

In the world of video editing, the latest update to Continuum for Final Cut Pro (FCP) is making waves. During a tour led by Nick Harauz, the Director of Product Marketing, the new features of Continuum FCP 2022 were unveiled.

The 2022 update brings significant advancements in noise reduction and detail recovery within the Final Cut Pro timeline. The new FidelityFuze noise reduction runs natively on the GPU, removing sensor noise and compression artifacts while preserving edge sharpness and texture. Users can choose between Gentle, Balanced, and Aggressive modes, depending on their footage’s noise characteristics.

The reworked Detail Recovery Engine has been completely rebuilt to deliver cleaner, more natural results with sharper structure, less aliasing, reduced halos, and no noise amplification. New controls include a Detail Sensitivity parameter for balancing texture preservation versus noise suppression and a Post-Upscale Detailing control to sharpen upscaled footage subtly.

Each Continuum FCP 2022 effect now includes the award-winning Mocha planar tracking and masking tool. This tool simplifies isolating effects, replacing screens, and inserting graphics in Final Cut Pro, changing the way users work in the software. The Mocha tool is also compatible with Final Cut Pro 10.6.2's new Object Tracker, enabling users to track 3D text to footage.

Current customers on a subscription or upgrade & support plan will receive Continuum FCP 2022 as a free update. A free filter, BCC+Looks, is being given away with Continuum FCP 2022. This filter includes built-in Mocha tracking tools and the FX Editor, making it a powerful addition to the suite. The BCC+Looks filter also includes 80+ presets such as bleach bypass, day-for-night, and 8mm film.

For those interested in trying out the new plugin, visiting the official Boris FX Continuum page or FidelityFuze website is recommended to find the latest trial and download options. The installer for Continuum FCP 2022 and the BCC+Looks filter can be downloaded separately.

The new release is expected to open creative doors, providing users with a more efficient workflow and improved output quality. With its integrated noise reduction, reworked detail recovery engine, and powerful new tools, Continuum FCP 2022 is set to revolutionise the way users work in Final Cut Pro.
