Investment of $11M Extended in Gameplay Galaxy, a Collaborative Effort Between Blockchain Capital and Merit Circle for Seed Funding
Gameplay Galaxy, a leading studio in the realm of Web3 games, is accelerating the development of its first blockchain game, Trial Xtreme Freedom. This exciting new mobile game combines the thrill of motocross racing with the innovative elements of Web3 technology.
The funding for this ambitious project was co-led by Blockchain Capital and Merit Circle, in an extended seed round that brings the total raised to $24 million. The funding was structured as equity with token warrants, valuing the gaming studio at $71 million.
At the helm of Gameplay Galaxy is Doron Kagan, a seasoned industry veteran who previously led the free-to-play game studio Deemedya. Kagan left Deemedya in 2022 to build Gameplay Galaxy, and he sees blockchain as the natural evolution for the gaming industry.
Trial Xtreme Freedom is designed to be accessible to all players, with no paywalls or knowledge barriers. It offers a dynamic ecosystem where players can compete, buy, evolve, and trade assets, including NFTs, within the game, creating a player-driven economy.
One of the key features of Trial Xtreme Freedom is the ability for players to host their own events and tournaments through track ownership. The game also integrates Web3 elements such as ownership of in-game items through NFTs, allowing players to trade and evolve these assets, giving them tangible value and control over game content.
In Trial Xtreme Freedom, players can craft, upgrade, and own bikes, adding a new layer of personalisation to the game. The game also boasts challenging tracks and immersive environments designed to enhance the high-speed motocross racing experience typical of the Trial Xtreme series.
The use of blockchain technology ensures a persistent player participation that influences gameplay and ensures a sustainable, competitive arena. Players can also earn tokens by playing games in Trial Xtreme Freedom, adding another layer of engagement.
Currently, Trial Xtreme Freedom is in the tech soft launch phase. The full launch is planned for the first quarter of 2025. Deemedya, renowned for creating popular gaming titles like the Trial Xtreme series, the Rope Escape series, and Game of Winds, has reimagined its successful Trial Xtreme brand as a web3 ecosystem for extreme sports games with Gameplay Galaxy.
