Kia Unveils Compact EV2 SUV for Europe in 2026
Kia has revealed its latest electric vehicle, the Concept EV2, at the 2025 EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. This B-segment all-electric SUV is the company's smallest EV yet and previews the production model expected to launch in Europe and other regions in 2026.
The Concept EV2 is designed with urban lifestyles in mind, featuring a multi-configurable interior with sustainable materials. Its rear-hinged back doors open to reveal an expandable space, complete with a folding second-row seat and pop-up sliding luggage dividers. The exterior boasts a strong shoulder line and a bullish stance, with vertical daytime running lights (DRLs) and Kia's Star Map signature lighting.
Kia President and CEO, Ho Sung Song, introduced the EV2 concept, emphasizing its role as a new entry-level electric model specifically for Europe. Production is set to begin in Slovakia in 2026. The EV2 includes innovative features like 'message lighting' for displaying text messages through the vehicle's windows, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, as seen in other Kia EVs.
The Concept EV2 is Kia's vision for a future B-segment all-electric SUV, representing a bold step forward for urban mobility. With its sustainable design, innovative features, and affordable price point, the EV2 is poised to make a significant impact on the European market when it launches in 2026.
