Krone Emphasizes Digitalization and Electrification for Transport Logistic 2025
At the Transport Logistic 2025 trade fair in Munich, Krone, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, unveiled mykrone.blue, a new digital ecosystem designed to streamline trailer-related services and data for fleet operators and transport companies.
The platform, presented at Hall A6, Stand 250/302, offers a modern and user-friendly interface that seamlessly integrates various trailer services, providing a centralised solution for easy access and management. With mykrone.blue, previously distributed applications and separate login processes will be eliminated, offering a more efficient and straightforward user experience.
Krone's presence at the event emphasised its "Dimensions in Motion" concept, focusing on four core themes: sustainability, digitalisation, automation, and electrification. The company showcased several innovations to highlight these themes.
One such innovation is a Type 3 long HGV optimised for CO₂ efficiency and real-world practicality. This extended vehicle portfolio, consisting of a rigid truck with Krone's latest Dry Box body, a standard dolly, and a specially configured fifth-generation Profi Liner, addresses long truck concepts with a focus on sustainability.
Another innovation is the Krone Cool Liner equipped with the Thermo King Advancer A-500e AxlePower, a fully electric refrigeration system powered by a BPW ePower generator axle and an underfloor battery pack. This represents a significant step towards electrifying temperature-controlled logistics.
The fair also includes events such as truck racing, vehicle and fleet management, and forwarding companies. Krone's trade fair appearance focuses on the themes of sustainability, digitisation, automation, and electrification, with a special focus on the electrification of trailer axles.
In addition to mykrone.blue, Krone is presenting additional service offerings under the label Krone 360° Service at the event. The company is also demonstrating the functionality of the eAxle in the eTrailer, a collaboration with technology partner Trailer Dynamics.
Current practical tests have shown that this solution can reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 50 percent. Krone Trusted Prime:Tyre, part of the Krone Trusted Tyre Comfort Program, expands Krone's tire range to fully cover efficiency classes A to C.
Joining Krone at the event are companies such as FS Logistix, Arvato, and Cargo-Partner, all with a focus on digitalisation and intermodality. A long truck for use with electric tractors and a Krone Cool Liner are being displayed to illustrate how transport solutions can adapt to new requirements.
Users will be able to access all functions such as vehicle management, service requests, and contract documents via a single sign-on. Mykrone.blue is intended to facilitate access to digital services and management functions, making it easier for fleet operators and transport companies to manage their operations efficiently.
