Viofo, a leading manufacturer of dash cams, has launched its latest innovation, the A329S multi-camera dash cam system. The system, characterised by its cutting-edge imaging, advanced connectivity, and expansive storage flexibility, promises to revolutionise vehicle surveillance.
At the heart of the system is the flagship front-facing A329S camera, equipped with Sony's STARVIS 2, 8MP IMX678 1/1.8" sensor. This sensor, renowned for its excellent performance in low light and high contrast scenarios, enables the camera to record sharp 4K video at a smooth 60 frames per second.
The A329S supports multiple camera channels, including a wide 210° fisheye cabin camera, a rear camera, and an optional telephoto camera (A329T) that offers 4x optical zoom for a clearer, magnified recording of the central portion of the front view. The Viofo A329S is available as a single camera for $330/£330, with various combinations of two- or three-camera bundles available, depending on the desired additional cameras. Prices for three-camera bundles top out at around $486/£486.
For commercial vehicles, Viofo offers a water-proof, externally mounted rear camera, available with 3M, 8M, 10M, and 15M cable options. The A329WW camera, designed for indoor use, shoots at 2560 x 1440 resolution and has a hydrophobic coating to bead away water droplets.
