Sound&Co's Improvised Livestream Studio Brings Virtual Parties to Life

In the heart of Belgium, Sound&Co, a rental company, has transformed part of their 1,200 square metre headquarters into an improvised livestream studio. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this innovative space hosts weekly themed virtual parties that have been met with unbridled enthusiasm by an entertainment-hungry audience.

The studio's rig includes four CHAUVET Professional Rogue R2 Wash spotlights and a ChamSys MagicQ MQ80 console, ensuring a visually stunning experience for viewers. CHAUVET DJ Freedom Quad IP units are used to illuminate the background of enclosures in the studio, creating a captivating atmosphere.

Every week, Sound&Co and its DJs, including KAAPRISUN, Twallie, Lloyds, and Sound of the Basement, stream a themed virtual party. The most recent themed event was a "Cuba Night", where cocktails were delivered to households.

The idea for this online venture was born shortly after the Belgian government announced the closure of clubs and venues. A corporate client asked Sound&Co to do an online version of a cancelled party with DJs but without guests. This request sparked the creation of the livestream studio, which has since become a staple in the Belgian nightlife scene.

However, there is no publicly available information from the latest sources confirming the continuation, expansion, or current status of the #unitedwestream project, a collaboration platform that supported the club scene during the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears the platform may be either inactive, evolved beyond public visibility, or no longer a focal point of the club scene compared to its prominence during the early pandemic period.

Despite the uncertain status of #unitedwestream, the livestream studio at Sound&Co continues to thrive, providing a platform for DJs to perform live via the internet, without an audience, but with a global audience tuning in from their homes.

  1. Amidst the technology-driven transformation of Sound&Co's livestream studio, music takes center stage, with the CHAUVET Professional Rogue R2 Wash spotlights and ChamSys MagicQ MQ80 console illuminating DJ performances from KAAPRISUN, Twallie, Lloyds, and Sound of the Basement.
  2. As technology advances, the boundary between entertainment and music has become increasingly blurred, with Sound&Co's livestream studio offering a unique blend of both, bringing virtual parties to life and connecting a global audience from the comfort of their homes.
