The Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE: Your Ultimate Hi-Fi Solution

Gear up for top-notch audio experience with the latest offering from Cambridge Audio – the Evo 150 SE streaming amplifier. Designed and engineered in the heart of London, this bad boy delivers powerful amplification and Cambridge's StreamMagic streaming platform, all wrapped snuggly in a customizable case.

To take things up a notch, Cambridge Audio teamed up with Hypex to create NCOREx "Tuned by Cambridge" Class D amplifier technology. This highly efficient and compact tech serves up 150 watts per channel (into 8 ohms) to deliver an immersive and detailed sound experience.

The Evo 150 SE revolves around the 4th generation of StreamMagic, Cambridge Audio's streaming platform for seamless and stable listening, supporting a pool of music services and formats. Start jamming to your favorite tunes directly from Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Roon Ready, UPnP, and Internet Radio over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Thanks to Cambridge’s in-house development, this platform is regularly updated to add new features and improve functionality.

Want a wireless solution? The Evo 150 SE offers Bluetooth aptX HD, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast, ensuring maximum flexibility. For multiroom music playing, it is compatible with Google Home, Apple AirPlay, and Roon systems.

You don’t miss out on wired connectivity either – HDMI ARC lets you link it with your television, and a built-in phono stage caters to hi-fi turntables. Other analog sources are covered by RCA line input and balanced XLR inputs. Digitally, you’ve got two optical digital inputs, a coaxial digital input, USB Audio, and USB Media sockets, all feeding into an ESS SABRE ES9018k2m DAC.

Would you like to bump up your bass with a subwoofer? Simply hook it up using the dedicated sub out or use the amplifier as a preamp or source only. With two pairs of speaker outputs, you can create dual listening zones for various rooms or outside areas.

Cambridge Audio went the extra mile to make the Evo 150 SE compact yet spacious – it's roughly the size of a vinyl record sleeve (12 x 12 inches). Despite its small size, it houses a large 6.8-inch color screen for a mix of pure functionality and retro-chic style. You can cycle between display options like a clock, the current track's album artwork and info, or else enjoy the mesmerizing flicker of virtual VU meters.

The Evo 150 SE lets you switch up the mood or your decor with a choice of two magnetically attached side panel designs. Choose between classic real wood or modern industrial chic.

The amplifier’s user-friendly dual-concentric knob has received a facelift too, boasting a redesigned inner control ring decked in Cambridge Audio's trademark Lunar Grey.

The Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE will be available starting July 2025 at cambridgeaudio.com and select retailers, priced at $3299/£1999/€2399. For more information, visit www.cambridgeaudio.com.

In essence, the Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE presents a futuristic, lifestyle-friendly hi-fi system that marries high-end Class D amplification, advanced digital conversion, versatile connectivity, and sleek design for audiophiles who seek excellent sound quality paired with modern streaming convenience.

Smart-home devices can be seamlessly integrated with the Evo 150 SE, as it supports Google Home and Apple AirPlay, enabling control through various gadgets and technology.
