Maersk has opened a new logistics facility in Tijuana, Mexico, further boosting its cross-border trade capabilities between Mexico and the United States. The facility, part of Mexico's Immex programme, offers a range of value-added services, including sorting, storage, and order fulfilment.

Located in Prisma XII, Pacifico Industrial Park, the facility benefits from proximity to major commercial ports, including Otay and San Ysidro. The site offers single and double-deep storage, currently utilising 16,000 sq.m of its 28,000 sq.m parts handling capacity.

Maersk aims to facilitate Mexico-US cross-border trade by expanding its landside capabilities. This facility is considered critical for cross-border automotive parts shipments, supporting both inbound and aftermarket parts.

Maersk's commitment to Mexico's logistics sector is evident in its growing footprint. The company already has 150,000 sq.m of logistics space across the country and plans to expand further in Guadalajara and Monterrey.
