Worldline Announces Leadership Changes in Executive Committee

Worldline, a leading European player in payments and financial services, has announced several changes in its Executive Committee as part of a broader effort to transform the company and achieve its ambition to be the European partner of choice in Payments. According to Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, CEO of Worldline, these changes are designed to strengthen the company's position in the competitive payments industry.

New Chief Financial Officer

Srikanth Seshadri has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Worldline, effective 8 September. Srikanth, a British National of Indian origin, brings a wealth of international experience and functional expertise in Operations Finance, Strategy & Corporate Finance. He started his career at Arthur Andersen and spent 5 years in Audit and Technology Risk Consulting Practice in India. Since 2002, Srikanth has been with Alstom, living in France, Switzerland, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Srikanth holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Chartered Accountant with Executive Education from INSEAD.

New Head of Financial Services

Madalena Cascais Tomé has been appointed as the Head of Financial Services at Worldline, effective 1 October. Madalena, who succeeds Alessandro Baroni, was previously the CEO of SIBS, a leading European interbank payment player. Under her leadership, SIBS launched over 65 innovative products and services, expanded into 15 new business lines, and set European benchmarks in performance, resilience, and security. Madalena chairs several companies and serves as chairperson of EMPSA and co-leads EuroPA, advancing payment and cross-border payment initiatives.

New Chief People Officer

Anika Grant has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer of Worldline, effective 1 September. Anika, an Australian national, fluent in English and French, brings over 30 years of experience in human resources. Prior to joining Ubisoft, she held senior, global HR roles at Dyson and Uber. Anika is also a Chief Human Resources Officer and Board Advisor. She began her career at Accenture as a consultant and has held various Board Advisory roles since 2019.

Transformational Leadership

These appointments mark a significant step in Worldline's transformation. Anika served as the Chief People Officer at Ubisoft and successfully navigated a period of pivotal change for the organization. Srikanth led Finance and then Strategy for Asia Pacific in Singapore before returning to Europe to head Group M&A. Madalena's leadership at SIBS speaks for itself, with the company launching numerous innovative products and services under her guidance.

The new Executive Committee of Worldline demonstrates increased diversity, consisting of nine members representing several distinct nationalities. This diversity is expected to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table, further driving Worldline's transformation and strategic refocus.
